About Ashness!

Ever since I was a child, I've been passionate about drawing. A passion that grew to encompass all facets of art from traditional, to digital, and even 3D Art. While attending grade school, you would often find me doodling in a sketch book or even sometimes on my homework worksheets. And by the beginning of my senior year in High School, I ran out of art classes to take, which lead me to enrolling in a vocational school and taking Visual Communications. After High School, I went to an art college and felt almost immediately that my chosen major wasn't what I wanted to do permanently. So I ended up freelancing, hoping to find a niche all while starting another job as a webmaster and graphic designer for a private pharmaceutical company. I recently went back to a design school to study digital photography and media art to gain more experience in refurbishing/touching up photos as well as fine tuning my skills as a graphic designer. In April 2012, I graduated and became officially certified. I'm now back to freelancing full time, something I find very fulfilling as it allows me to explore and practice my love for all realms of art.

My preferred mediums are acrylic, computer generated and colored graphite, though I enjoy utilizing all methods. My specialty is portrait and fantasy art, although I don't set out to solely produce art based on one subject or another. As such, I'm constantly find myself experimenting with new ideas, techniques and subject matter. My work however does heavily use bright, bold colors that has been influenced by one of my idols, Alex Grey.
