FAQ's
How long have you been involved with art?
Since I was a toddler, about 3 years old. I remember getting a lot of enjoyment out of drawing when I was little. I then started taking it a little more seriously when I was about 8 years old, which is also when I received my very first sketch book. I knew very early on though that I wanted to be an professional artist, one way or another, as a career. I'm lucky and quite happy to be working towards living that dream today.
What type of work do you do?
Pretty much anything. I draw, paint, illustrate, sculpt, graphically design and have recently within the past few years gotten into refurbishing furniture. I consider colored pencils, acrylic paint, micron pens and Photoshop my tools of trade though.
What is your favorite Kind of art?
I’m a huge fan of dark and fantasy art.
Who has inspired you?
Alex Grey. You can check out his work here.
What do you like drawing the most?
I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed doing portraits and fantasy related themes.
How long does it take you to finish a commission?
It really depends on how many orders I have at the time, and what the specific commission is. A simple CG portrait might take a day, where as a detailed, color penciled portrait might take several. I always make sure to give an accurate time estimate to the customer, and keep them updated if that changes.
I noticed you have a photography section. Do you offer professional portrait shoots?
No, I don't. Although I love taking pictures, and even may feel some of my photos are print worthy, I am not a professional photographer and it's not something I plan to do in the future professionally. I do however have many wonderful professional photographers as friends, most of which you can see their work from the links located on the home page.
Do you want to freelance forever?
I absolutely love freelancing, and hope to have the option to do it for as long as I financially can. However, someday I would absolutely love to own my store, creating fantasy furniture and artwork for children's bedrooms.
